since were talking about major upgrades, I think Marc Gasol should atleast be a 79.....his stats are very similar to Aldridge's stats. And LaMarcus has a rating of 81.

ATL:
Nothing really. Maybe Aldridge up 1 or 2 points and Butler and Diaw down 1 or 2.
BOS:
Ellis 84-85 really bounced back this year and is not much worse than Rando who is a 85 Ibaka; Price; lyasova 66-68 all solid young role players
CHA:
Wallace 85-86 Gasol 79-80 agree with Detroit and New York on both of them

ATL: I think Frye must be a 76-77 because even there are many superstar in the Suns, Frye has given a lots of minutes comparing to Gasol and Aldridge, Frye can make a three even he is a Center, ... Also Aldridge must improved by 1 or 2........ Caron Butler must be down only by 1 ....... BOS: Monta Ellis must be boost from 80-85...........As we can see he is averaging 26.2ppg, 4.20rpg and 5.4 apg........ Oh man what about Ersan Ilyasova......He's rating here is only 56....but look at his ppg....he's averaging 10.6 ppg and 6.30 rpg......I think he must be a 70-71.......... Also AJ Price i think he must improved from 57-65....He's averaging 7.4 ppg..... And CJ Miles must get an increase by 2 or 3........ CHA: Agreed for Gerald Wallace...85-86 boost..... What about JJ Barea.......I think from 70 he must be 72......... Hakim Warrick must also get an increase like 2 or 3 Lastly, Marc Gasol must get an increase of 5 or 6........ I hope this can help your team ............

I dont see it. I think Frye belongs in the category scrub starter/role player(70-75) rather than solid starter(75-80), maybe he is right on the borderline but 76-77 is a bit of a stretch.

February 8th[/color]
Atlanta Hawks
Josh Smith (85) - I think his defense is undervalued, and he's gotten much smarter by not shooting 3's anymore. Shooting 50% now. I'd say maybe an 87. Channing Frye (73) - Up to about 76-77 I think. Mike James (70) - May want to think about lowering. Mikki Moore (70) - May want to think about lowering.
Boston Celtics - Obviously my own team so take it for what it's worth. I'm generally pretty objective though.
Stephen Jackson (82) - Could use another point or two raise, I dunno if you guys have paid attention to his play in Charlotte this year...but coupled with his defense, he's very valuable. Monta Ellis (80) - Agree with others...84-85 for Monta. Speedy Claxton (67) - Maybe lower? CJ Miles (67) - Agree with others, up a couple. Serge Ibaka (61) - Should raise a bit, high 60's. AJ Price (57) - Mid/High 60's. Ersan Ilyasova (56) - High 60's/Low 70's. Agree with others.
Charlotte Bobcats
Gerald Wallace (83) - Yes should go up to 85-87 area. Marc Gasol (74) - Should be very high 70's/80 Chase Budinger (66) - Could maybe go up a couple points. Robin Lopez (66) - I think he should be low 70's probably.

I don't get the hate on Frye. Making 2 3's a game with a block a game is some very unique value. Actually has .8 stls a game too, so just about in that exclusive club of 1stl/1blk/1-3pt He's at the very least a 75, I think 76-77 is appropriate.

Well he has a perfect situation in Phoenix. He is getting a lot of open looks as opponents focuc on Nash, Amare, J-Rich, Barbosa and Hill and they play at a fast pace too. You also have to keep in mind that he is a bad rebounder/defender and a block per game in 30 mpg is nothing special either. Put him on any other team in the league and he would not be more than a solid role player.

Agreed, but guys, numbers aren't everything. Sometimes a players presence says a lot as well. For eg, Artest has HORRID numbers on the Laker team, but his presence isreally felt each and every game. He has held so many great Swingmen to lower production in those games, lest for superstars like LBJ.
So that's about it, numbers definitely AREN'T EVERYTHING

I agree with most of you, but here's my list anyway: Atlanta HawksChanning Frye - definitely should see some upgrade as he has been killer from the 3-point line. But I do agree with Sacramento as well as he has some weaknesses in his game. His defensive rating is just horrible (110 points per 100 possesion scored on him, for example Dwight is leading the league with 95). Suggestion: 75-77 Although Aldridge is shooting slightly better than last season and is rebounding just as good as when he was rookie, he hasn't been better this season. His blocks and steals numbers both has decreased (Aldridge averaged 1.9 blocks as a rookie, as a sophmore 1.3, last year 0.9 and this year only 0.5 blocks). Thus I think that he doesn't deserve a raise right now. I do agree that Butler should be decreased by about 2 points as he is having his worst season since 03-04. The last time he shot this awfully was back in Miami in 03-04, 42%, his 3 point shooting has gotten much worse as well, especially compared to the 07-08, when he shot 36%, now he is only shooting 27%. He's assisting numbers have also decreased by double after one season. Josh Smith has decided to stop chukking threes and instead has become much more efficient player and I can see why he should be slightly increased. Around 86-87 should be fine. As for Mikki Moore and Mike James, they haven't gotten much chance to play this year (there was some bad situation in Washington for James), but both would be fine at around 68. Boston CelticsMonta Ellis is having an awsome season, nothing more to say, should be around 84-85. I agree with Boston as Stephen Jackson is currently leading the Bobcats to the playoffs. 84 is what I'm thinking. CJ Miles - around 70. AJ Price - 64-66 sounds fine for him. I thought of increase Ilyasova already before the rating evaluation, but never did it. 70 is perfect for him. Serge Ibaka - about 65 sound good. Rajon Rondo - I think probably most of you won't agree with this, but Rondo is the best player out there in Boston, he's having an awsome season. He is the best defensive guard in the league at the moment. His offensive and defensive ratings are 114 and 101 respectively, both in the upper part of the league. If he could improve his jumpshot, he could easily be close to or around 90sh, but right now in my opinion should be about 87. Charlotte BobcatsAs everyone pointed out, Gerald Wallace and Marc Gasol both could use some increase, especially Marc. 85 and 79 respectively is what I'm thinking. Red Rocket has turned out to be a steal in this draft and could go up few points as well, something like 70. Robin Lopez should get something like 70 as well. PS. Detroit, I do agree with you that stats aren't everything, but nowadays almost anything can be measured, you just need to know where to find it.

Atlanta Hawks
Josh Smith 85-----87
Caron Butler 84-----81 (yeah stats says other wise, but look at the Wizards they are 5th worst team in the NBA, no way on earth a team of Haywood, Butler, Foye, Miller, Jamison can't atleast compete for 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.)
Boris Diaw 78-----75 Channing Frye 73-----76
Boston Celtics
Paul Pierce 87----89 (career high in FG and 3PT%, has more SPG and BPG then last year.) Monta Ellis 80-----84 or 85 Serge Ibaka 61-65 Ersan Ilyasova 56-----68
Charlotte Bobcats
Dirk Nowitzki 90--------92 or 93 (yes crazy thinking Dirk deserves higher rating, but his production has increased in some areas, higher APG, SPG, BPG, FG%, 3PT%, AND FT%.)
Many people expected the Mavs to struggle with no Josh Howard but they are still hanging on to a top 4 seed, and still has a chance to get the second seed by the end of the season.
Gerald Wallace 83---------86 Marc Gasol 74-------78 Robin Lopez 66------70

Boston Celtics
Stephen Jackson (82) hes grazy this season, he should be 85 (as Wallace) Paul Millsap (77) better than Perkins, Foye, Diaw, so should be 79 maybe
Charlotte Bobcats
Dirk Nowitzki (90) would give 92 Gerald Wallace (83) to 85 Marc Gasol (74) yep, but maybe 79 for now

I would clearly rather have Ersan Ilyasova than Chase Budinger...some sort of change between those two should happen, IMO...other than that I don't really have any other objections.
