why do the raptors do that? they can offer bosh the max with 6 yrs and easily keep him? ariza and TT are bench players....so its bosh for cousins with ariza nasty contract.
I wanna hear the raps reason for this.

I wanna hear the raps reason for this. Partially agreed, but the 4th pick is a decent value. Especially considering the doubt that Bosh would opt out and not come back , however in Detroit, I think there's a decent chance that he won't opt out to get a chance at the championship. After hearing Toronto's reasoning, I'll make my decision.

I accept, why? Well I'm thinking Bosh will definitely opt out of his contract with the Raptors because he doesn't want to play in Toronto and he doesn't have any help around him to win. Just like in real life. I was originally going to wait and see if Bosh opts out or not and then try to negotiate with him, and if all else fails do a sign-and-trade, but apparently we aren't doing that in this league so I might as well get it over with now. Tried trading Bosh for better talent but no one was budging so this was the best deal anyone was willing to do.

My reasoning is fairly simple. Here goes:
Well considering how Toronto did this season (11th in the east!). I have zero belief that Bosh will come back and play with this team again. Note this raptors squad performed worse than the team IRL who just missed the 8th seed. So considering the fact that Raptors would lose Bosh and gain absolutely nothing at all, this is a huge difference and I believe i have given the raptors more than sufficient compensation in exchange for Bosh as opposed to them getting anything in return at all (let's face it, Chris Bosh will not re-sign in Toronto, that's why Amir Johnson was given such a huge contract. & I strongly believe that even a sign & trade for Toronto would be highly unlikely)
Secondly, the core players of this team: Mayo, Oden, are fairly young. Suppose if they could add the top big men of the draft in there, it would go well with the team's rebuilding. Trust me, even with amazing roster this season, it surprises me that they can't even get a playoff spot. So they have to rebuild and the 4th overall pick and the 2 solid bench players are great additions to their team.
Lastly IRL, Bosh has indicated he wants to win and money is not an issue on several occasions. I am quite sure that Bosh wouldn't opt out of a 3rd seeded team and give up the chance to play alongside the league MVP for this season. This is a huge risk I'm taking giving up my number 4 pick but I guess taking a gamble in a situation like this might pay off

okay that sounds like a good explanation. I understand the interest in the #4 pick.
But one question why would toronto want ariza and his 9 million when he already has josh howard and nocioni.
Because if toronto doesnt take on all this salary(TT and ariza)...they could maybe sign some guards. Which I think is a bigger need for them.

well, the trade can't happen if both players aren't included, because both teams are cap restricted if im not mistaken.
Second, Ariza is flexible at the SG or SF spot, similar to Josh Howard. It's the GMs job to decide which positions he wants them to play at. Next I think Bosh's departure means great shoes to fill at the PF spot. Just in case the 4th overall pick (eg. Favors) requires 1 entire season to finally be a legitimate starter for the team, Thomas is good talent that the Raptors could use instead of Nocioni for the time being.

Hey dude i respect you enough to not say anything. Well duhon is an expiring hence cant be traded. Basically thrre is no way to modify this trade such that the salaries would work. Personally i dont think bosh is that good of a player
